I’m Andrew, a drone photographer specializing in aerial photography & cinematography for brands across British Columbia.
I grew up in the Yukon. This created a love for wilderness adventures. Training in the North as a commercial float plane pilot, took me to some incredibly beautiful places. Aerial photography became a huge passion. Then in 2012, drone video and photography was invented. That changed the aerial photography & film industry forever. Using drones to get those previously impossible shots was now a whole new craft. Aerial photography and drone filming became an addiction and I was hooked. So, I created Fyfe Photography. We’re now one of the premiere drone service companies specializing in aerial photography based in Vancouver, BC.
As a commercial drone service and aerial photographer in Vancouver, we adhere to all the Transport Canada regulations.
When you book my drone service, you will be working first and foremost with a pro photographer, but also with an aviation professional. I have a commercial pilots license for actual airplanes, as well as an advanced RPAS drone pilot certificate from Transport Canada. Having a commercial pilots license, gives me an edge over most drone service companies in Vancouver. For example, when it comes to flight planning, getting permits, and planning around airspace restrictions.
Having an advanced drone pilot certificate means I can operate my drone service company & shoot drone video and photography in controlled airspace.
After traveling all over the world, I have come to understand the power of visual storytelling. Above all, creating photos that inspire people to explore and travel is the driving force behind my images. Even though my drone service is based in Vancouver, I travel all over Canada for shoots.
